Dear Members and Friends of the Business Council of Mongolia,

 

A warm welcome from the Business Council of Mongolia, one of the leading business groups in the country. The key objective of the BCM is to foster and promote trade and business relationships and to act as advocate for our members.  Mongolia is an up and coming country with vast opportunities in sectors such as Agriculture, Tourism and Exploration & Mining.

From a strategic perspective, the BCM seeks to achieve its mission by providing a networking forum for members to help further develop business and trade ties. BCM members have access to regular business meetings, special interest events, various working groups, and our famed weekly Newswire, the best available news compilation concerning Mongolia.  Our monthly meetings always feature keynote speakers, who have a breadth and depth of experience in the region that they share with members.

We were a sponsor or partner and lead host for several Mongolian investment conferences in 2009 including forums of the Mongolian National Mining Association, Euromoney, NAMBC, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs/FIFTA.  Included were Euromoney’s Investors’ Forum in Hong Kong and Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolia-EU Investment Conference in London, Regional Investors forums in two regions of Mongolia, the Investment Consultative meeting in Ulaanbaatar, and a lunch meeting with Mr. Ts.Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia.

The BCM works very closely with various Embassies, NGO’s, Special Interest Groups and Associations and the Government of Mongolia. We have strategic alliances with the Mongolian National Mining Association and the Consultative Council for Foreign Investment and Private Sector Development where meetings are held on a regular basis to exchange issues and ideas affecting our members.

The ongoing economic, cultural and social development of Mongolia offers a wide range of business opportunities for businesses. Through active participation in the BCM activities, businesses can gain information and build relationships that will assist in capitalizing on these opportunities. I encourage you to use the many and varied features of our newly updated and structured website.
If you are not a member, I strongly encourage you to join the BCM and experience a range of benefits like no other business council or group in this country.
