Environmental Fellowship Program

This year, the Zorig Foundation is announcing an entirely new program called Environmental Fellowship Program. EFP is a five-month program for young professionals interested in acquiring an increased awareness and understanding of issues affecting the conservation and security of the Mongolian ecosystem.

Throughout the five months of this program, selected fellows will attend bi-weekly sessions, which will be carried out in the form of lectures, seminars and workshops by leading national and international figures. These figures will talk about issues ranging from the interdependence between the country’s economic, national security, natural resource and energy issues to the health issues that relate to Mongolia’s environmental welfare. Site visits and field trips will also be an important part of the program, which will reinforce the learning from the lecture sessions. Another major feature of the program is the service-learning project, which will be designed and implemented by the fellows while participating in the program.

The Zorig Foundation is accepting application forms for this program between January 5th and February 1st of 2011. EFP is due to begin in mid February.
