The Business Council of Mongolia in collaboration with The Embassy of Canada in Mongolia organized a hybrid event under the name of "CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE" on 25 August 2022.

ULAANBAATAR, Mongolia – The Business Council of Mongolia (BCM)’s Board of Directors appointed Honourable Bryon Wilfert as a Special Advisor on July 2022.
The Honourable Bryon Wilfert served for 26 years of elected political office both as a Municipal Councillor and as Member of Parliament. He served as Junior Minister of the Environment, as well as Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and National Defense. He served as Vice President of APPECD Asia Pacific Parliamentarians Environment Conference Development) based in Korea.
Bryon holds a Master of Arts in Political Economy (U of T), Institute of Corporate Directors designation (ICD.D) (U of T – Rotman School), and holds an Accredited Municipal Clerk and Treasurer (AMCT) in Municipal Administration from St. Lawrence College. He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun – Gold/Silver Star from His Imperial Majesty and the Prime Minister of Japan for his tireless work on Canada/Japan relations. He holds the Queen’s Gold and Diamond Jubilee Medals. He has received three times Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow awards.
He is Senior Associate at Tactix Government Relations & Public Affairs in Ottawa, Vice President – International Relations with Emission Technologies International Inc., and Honorary Consul General for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
Bryon serves as Chair of the Canada/Pakistan Business Council and Advisor to the Canada/Vietnam Trade Council. Bryon is a Member of Board of Director of the NATO Association of Canada; a member of Advisory Board of Macdonald Laurier Institute; and an Oversight Committee Member of Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC).
Bryon played an active role during Canada’s mission to Afghanistan. He is a Vice Chair of the Special Canadian Committee on Afghanistan of Shadow Minister of National Defense; Vice Chair of the National Defense Committee, Member of the Special Afghan Documents Committee. He had three trips to Afghanistan in 2006, 2008, 2010 and had meetings with Former President Karzai, MP’s of the Afghan Parliament, Tribal Elders, Canadian Allied Forces and Afghan Soldier. Bryon also visited to Kabul, Kandahar and Zhari District.
The Honourable Bryon Wilfert, has spoken on International Relations in various universities. He has also been a Master of Ceremonies at various events over the years.
On 20 May 2022, the BCM held KSS + Business Tour at the Bank of Mongolia (MongolBank). Thetheme was on “Exchange rates, stock markets, balance of payments” and was presented by Mr. A.Enkhjin, Director General, Reserve Management Financial Markets Department of Bank of Mongolia.
The presentation was followed up with tour around the Museum of Bank of Mongolia. The BCMmembers had the opportunity to get toured around the halls with the State Treasure and Banknotes.We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Mr. A.Enkhjin for giving a great and informative presentation and the staff of Bank of Mongolia for taking the BCM members around the museum.

On 16 June 2022, the BCM had the privilege of hosting a small group meeting session with Ms. Aisha Bowe, a former NASA rocket scientist, entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of STEMBoard. The meeting was set exclusively for the BCM members and partners. All attendees had the opportunity to meet and to directly discuss relevant topics with Ms. Aisha Bowe. The BCM would like to thank our co-organizers, as well as Ms. Aisha Bowe and all participants for taking your time to come and attend the meeting.

The BCM acted as the supporting organization of Nito first Good Workplace Awards that took place on 17 May 2022. The objective of the event was to utilize the power of technology and innovation to bring about a radical shift in the way people work, hire, and get hired. The awards intended to help foster a more transparent, equitable, healthy, humane, and innovative work culture and environment in the labour market by recognizing the best employers promoting diversity and inclusivity, health, family, youth, women's career growth, employer branding, innovative management, use of technology, HR policy.
The BCM Managing Director Ms. Bayarsaikhan Javkhlan participated as a judge of the awards and as a panelist of the first session that was hosted under the theme of “Must the people in Mongolia work with low salary?”
