The Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold project is expected to begin production in August 2012, sooner than forecast, said Mr. T. Ganzorig, Deputy Director of Erdenes MGL which partners with Ivanhoe Mines and Rio Tinto in developing the site.  Mr. Ganzorig said expedited construction has helped move the production date ahead. Ivanhoe Mines had earlier said commercial production would begin in the first half of 2013.
