Firebird Mongolia Fund recently purchased 1,865,993 shares of Berkh Uul JSC (MSE: BEU) from Petrovis LLC, bringing its total holding in the diversified mining company to over 50%. Berkh Uul has fluorspar, coal, and gold properties. Firebird has made a number of large investments in fluorspar mining companies in countries including South Africa, Kenya, and Canada.
