Source: Undesnii Shuudan Date: 14 April, 2011 The Standing Committee on the Economy this week reviewed the work report of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and found its performance satisfactory. The FRA has mentioned certain obstacles to its working better, particularly when it will have to cooperate with the London Stock Exchange to develop the capital market. Its computers are not high-speed enough and are also not secure against hacker attacks, posing a threat to the confidentiality of individual and corporate financial data. The FRA also does not have its own office and lacks enough mining finance professionals. It wants to send its officials abroad for training in mineral resources trade. |
