OUTSTANDING LOANS RISE 6.8% M-O-M, 48.8% Y-O-Y PDF Print E-mail

The Central Bank reports that money supply (broad money or M2) at the end of May 2011 reflected an increase of 1.5 percent over the previous month, and 66.8 percent over the same period last year. Loans outstanding at the end of May 2011 increased by 6.8 percent against the previous month, and by 48.8 percent against May, 2010. Principals in arrear at the end of May fell 6.9 percent from the previous month, and 40.0 percent from May last year. Non-performing loans increased 4.4 percent over the previous month, but were 4.0 percent less than in May, 2010.
