Small start-up businesses in South Gobi and Ulaanbaatar recently overcame a number of obstacles to deliver an Oyu Tolgoi order for more than 1,000 winter jackets. Their success demonstrated their commitment and initiative. In order to meet the deadline, they had to vary their work shifts around the power outages caused by the local power plant maintenance. This is just one of the many examples of Mongolian suppliers identified through the ‘Mongolia first’ procurement initiative justifying the company’s trust in them.
