Oyu Tolgoi LLC President A. Munkhbat has expressed surprise at the recent confusion over the shareholding pattern in the company, saying that nothing has been changed since the investment agreement was signed and the entire shareholders’ agreement is available on the Internet and can be accessed at www.sedar.com where all companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, as  Ivanhoe Mines is, must submit any agreement they make on shareholding or other matters related to their finances

He rubbished the suggestion that anything has been concealed from the Government or the Mongolian people. Readily conceding that a copy of the agreement bore the mark ‘secret’, Mr. Mukkhbat said that particular copy was from a time before the investment agreement was signed and it is normal practice to keep a proposed agreement secret until all parties finally agree on the terms in it.
