Preliminary results of the Census announced last week by the National Statistics Office put the population of Mongolia on November 19, 2010 at 2,650,673 and the number of dwelling units for households at 714,784 households. The population figure does not include those who registered through the Internet, military personnel, and prisoners. The final results will be announced in July and will contain several other details.
