BCM continues a Tax Working Group initially formed in 2003 under the auspices of NAMBC. The chair is Onchinsuren who is Director of Onch Audit based in Ulaanbaatar. In addition to Onch, BCM's Tax Working Group currently includes:

BCM Tax WG members met today with officials of the IMF and U.S. Treasury Dept. to assist with information for their report on the Mongolian General Tax Authority's tax administration policies and performance. |

BCM follow up letter to the Ministry of Finance regarding VAT:

BCM submitted the Mongolian version of the attached 'Recommendations for Tax Law' in late December 2009 to Mr. Bayartsogt, Minister of Finance. Copies were sent to Mr. D. Zorigt, Minister of Minerals and Energy, and Mr. Oyunbaatar, Director of the General Tax Authority.
This was the output promised to attendees at the November BCM-PricewaterhouseCoopersTax Workshop.

On April 15, 2008 PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and BCM hosted an International Tax Workshop in the Khan Bank Theater. Over 90 participants from BCM members attended. This free, bilingual Tax Workshop was most informative and well received by members.
