The Mongolia Country Private Sector Diagnostic (CPSD) Launch Event, “Unlocking Private Investment for Mongolia’s Economic Diversification,” will present the key findings and recommendations of the World Bank Group’s Mongolia CPSD. The event will bring together representatives from government, the private sector, investors, financial institutions, and development partners to discuss practical measures to strengthen Mongolia’s investment environment and support a more diversified, resilient, and private sector-led economy. The CPSD focuses on three priority areas with strong potential for private investment and value creation: sustainable cashmere processing, solar and wind energy generation, and exploration of energy transition minerals. Following the presentation of the report, participants will discuss the key barriers affecting investment in these sectors, priority reforms, and practical steps that can help mobilize private investment and strengthen domestic value addition. The event will also provide businesses and investors with an opportunity to share their perspectives directly with policymakers, the World Bank Group, and other key stakeholders.
